Lollapalooza 2024: The Soundtrack of Summer in the Heart of Chicago

As a Chicago native I am shocked I have never attended Lollapalooza (aka “Lolla”) before! I could not be more excited for my first time to be with The Festival Babes. Lolla is definitely a staple in the city every year and always presents an incredible lineup. The 4-day festival is held in Chicago’s Grant Park, August 1-4, 2024. There is light rain forecasted for the first two days of the festival, and after attending many festivals, I always recommend packing a light poncho in your bag. The rain ain’t stoppin this party baby! So buckle up buttercup the Babes are taking on Lolla in Chicago!

Day 1 Is for The Girlies!

As a newbie to Lolla, I am ready to explore and check out all the fest has to offer. There are 8 stages total to catch your favorite artists perform at, a huge variety of food vendors down at ChowTown, Kidsapalooza, and much more! What is also cool about Lolla is Chicago tourist attractions are the perfect places to get your pictures or meet up with friends. For example, the Lollapalooza Frame is located right in front of Buckingham Fountain!

I have already coined day 1 as “Girlie Pop” day because you know I can’t miss our queens Chappell Roan and Megan The Stallion. There are so many other must see artists to check out this day, but those two are for sure going to be packed! Both artists are set to play at the T. Mobile stage and I would highly recommend getting to their sets early for the best chance at locking in your spot!

Day 2 - Party at Perry’s

You can catch me at the Perry’s stage all day for that good ole EDM fix. We’re starting the day off strong with It’s Murph, followed by Noizu, Alok, Loud Luxury, Galantis, and closing out with Zedd. The final set usually ends by 10pm, but the party doesn’t stop there. Every year the festival provides tickets to aftershows for each night. Aftershows are held at one of the many venues in Chicago and tickets sell out fast!

Day 3 - Let’s Explore Lolla

Saturday looks like the perfect day for exploring the festival grounds! Aside from the music there are other activities at Lolla such as the Art Market, sponsor lounge parties, recharge stations, and autograph tents, Kidzapalooza, About Face Glitter Bar, T. Mobile Club Magenta, Wrangler Ranch, the Hulu Motel, and Bonus Tracks! I think I am most excited to see what Bonus Tracks is about. Bonus Tracks returns for its second year at Lolla and last year looked like so much fun. This year you will find Chicago Drag, Bob’s Dance Shop, Rod Thrill, The Fly Honeys, Vogue Battle, Fusion Of Light, and Chicago Footwork!

Day 4 - Back to Perry’s Stage!

And just like that, you will find me back at the Perry’s stage for another day filled with EDM. What can I say, your girl loves her bass music! For the last day of Lolla I feel like I am getting quite the banger. We start the day off with Mersiv. Then into Whyte Fang (aka Alison Wonderland’s alias project). Followed by Black Tiger Sex Machine and closing out with heavy-hitter, Zeds Dead. Honestly, as I am writing this my excitement is bursting at the seams for all four days, but especially for day 4. I am a huge Zeds Dead fan and I will be front and center riding the rail for the boys!

And with that, drink water and have fun. If you see any of the Babes at Lolla this weekend, come say hi! We would love to meet you!!
