Up north we go!!! We are making our Alaskan debut at Sacred Acre this year! The babes are beyond excited to experience the beauty of the land, listen to some proper bass music, and connect with the community up north at Alaska’s spellbinding Sacred Acre.
The festival’s environmental mission is to highlight the impact of trawling - where factory ships drag enormous nets across the ocean floor, devastating marine life and fragile ecosystems in their path. Aiming to nurture the future of the planet the festival offers education to guests and a safe space to share any information about trawling. In addition, Sacred Acre is working towards becoming a zero plastic event by monitoring as much plastic output as possible.
The grammy winning producer Peekaboo is headlining the festival this year. Joined by Zingara, Wreckno, Late Night Radio and more - these legends are bringing the best vibes to the coast in Ninilchik, AK… the line up was curated perfectly bringing in a mix of experimental bass, dub, soul, disco, minimal and all the sounds in between ✨ You are truly bound to find your sugar and spice here.
Beyond the festival there is also a boat party to add to your itinerary!! The Sponges and Dig Sista are headlining the Bumping on the Bay experience. A day cruise through the beautiful Alaskan waters. Other excursions include Salmon fishing and helicopter rides 😱 sounds like the ideal festival experience - flying fishing and festing (plural of festival lol).
And lastly, I am personally excited to spend my birthday with The Festival Babes team!! Girls weekend in a cabin listening to my favorite type of music is more than anything I could ever ask for!! So stoked to wear fur and be demure 💅🏻 Feeling lucky to be a Festival Babe.
